Fatigue Life

All chain parts are designed to provide maximum fatigue life. Sidebars are heat-treated for maximum strength without sacrificing necessary toughness. The full round design of pins and bushings eliminate stress risers in sidebar holes to maximize fatigue life. The sidebar hole size and finish are closely controlled to assure optimum press fit and fatigue life.

Wear Resistance

Pins and bushings are made from alloy steel for maximum wear life and toughness. Pins are heat-treated and thereafter surface induction hardened to provide maximum wear resistance. The pins and bushings are center-less ground to optimize wear life and ensure optimum fits between mating faces.
